Debunking HIV myths with Africa Director of Gates Foundation, Dr Paulin Basinga 🙌🏼 EXPLANATIONS ⬇️ 1. With treatment, HIV is no longer a de@th sentence. People on antiretroviral therapy (ART) can live long, healthy lives with a normal life expectancy. 2. There’s no cure for HIV yet. ART controls the virus and reduces it to undetectable levels, but it doesn’t eliminate it. Research into a complete cure is ongoing. 3. HIV is the virus. AIDS is the advanced stage of untreated HIV when the immune system is severely weakened. 4. HIV can’t be transmitted by mosquitoes. The virus can’t survive or reproduce in them, and mosquitoes inject saliva, not blood. 5. HIV doesn’t directly affect fertility. With effective treatment and an undetectable viral load, people living with HIV can conceive naturally and give birth to HIV-negative children. 6. Many people with HIV have no symptoms for years. Feeling fine doesn’t mean you're HIV-negative. The only way to know is to get tested. Share with friends and family to raise awareness 🙌🏼 #HIV #AfricaMonth #southafrica #myths

This one for the boys 🥸 #period #educate #tampon #doctor Tampons sit in the V, while peeing happens through the urethra – two separate openings! Understanding women's health and bodies is not just a sign of curiosity; it's a sign of empathy, respect, and love. It helps in fostering better relationships and communication with the women in our lives, be it a mother, sister, partner, or friend ❤️
Delayed periods? DONT panic (YET) 🥸 I made this video explaining the reasons with one text prompt with Invideo!! You can try Invideo for free, but if you want to use their generative capabilities, paid plans start as low as $28/month. This will save you hundreds of dollars that you would otherwise spend on editing, animating and other production costs! 🔗 in b10 #period #pregnancy #pcos #endometriosis #invideoaipartner
30cm is 12inches 🤯 How long do YOU think it is!? The V is usually around 3–4 inches (7.5–10 cm) deep, but it can stretch up to 7 inches (18 cm) when aroused! yup, it’s a muscle! It expands during the act and even more during childbirth. And no, it doesn’t get “loose”, that’s a myth! #womenshealth #men #educate #tiktokdoc

Busting Africa Myths 🤥 with Gates Foundation Africa CEO, Dr Paulin Basinga 🙌🏼 Happy Africa Day everyone! 🌍 Explanations ⬇️ 1. Africa is a continent, not a country — with 54 countries in it. 2. We don’t ride elephants 🥲 we use cars, buses, and bikes like everyone else. 3. No, we don’t get WiFi from trees 🫠 we have real internet, even 5G. 4. There’s no language called “African” 🤥 we speak over 2,000 real languages. 5. Healthcare isn’t always expensive .. many places have free or low-cost clinics. 6. Episode 2: Guys, don't disappoint us! 🥸 Tampons come in different sizes to match how heavy your period flow is. It’s not about the size of your V or how s*ggually active you are (yes, some people actually believe that). Using the right absorbency helps prevent leaks and reduces the risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS). Oh, and always change it every 4–8 hours 🙌🏼 #womenshealth #tampon #educate #doctor

Just a few weeks ago, I couldn’t walk without running out of breath. 1km felt impossible. But I made a decision to stop waiting, and start moving. I didn’t train perfectly. I wasn’t always consistent. But I showed up, again and again. And today, I crossed the finish line of my first ever 10km run. The pace wasn’t perfect. The path wasn’t easy. But with every step, I proved to myself that change is possible. Progress isn’t about speed, it’s about courage. And I’ve got plenty of that now 💪🏼 #absarunyourcityseries #absarunyourcity #Running #capetown @Moy Visuals @PUMA@Nike@Candice
